Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. Here's how EasyVerse handles your data.
Last updated: March 17, 2026
1. Overview
EasyVerse is a free, open-source desktop application for real-time Bible verse display during live church services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about what data we collect and how it is used.
2. Data We Collect
Desktop Application
The EasyVerse desktop app runs entirely on your local machine. Bible data, playlists, songs, and settings are stored locally in SQLite databases on your computer. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of this data on our servers.
Voice Transcription
When you use the real-time transcription feature, audio is streamed directly to Deepgram's servers for speech-to-text processing. EasyVerse does not store or record any audio. Please refer to Deepgram's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle audio data.
Contact Form
If you submit a message through our website contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message content. This data is stored in our Supabase database solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
Resource Store
When you download Bible versions or other resources from the built-in store, the app connects to our Supabase backend to fetch the catalog and download files. We may log basic download metrics (resource name, timestamp) but do not collect personal information.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not track your usage of the desktop application
- We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
- We do not store or record any audio from transcription sessions
- We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data
- We do not use cookies on this website for tracking purposes
4. Third-Party Services
EasyVerse integrates with the following third-party services:
- Deepgram — Speech-to-text transcription (requires your own API key)
- Supabase — Resource catalog hosting and contact form storage
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them independently.
5. Your API Keys
EasyVerse requires a Deepgram API key for transcription. This key is stored locally on your machine and is only used to authenticate directly with Deepgram's API. We never transmit or have access to your API keys.
6. Open Source
EasyVerse is licensed under the GPL-3.0 license. You can inspect the entire source code to verify our privacy practices. Transparency is a core value of this project.
7. Children's Privacy
EasyVerse is designed for use by church media teams and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
9. Contact Us
